My second translation to share with everyone for Ishida-san's birthday celebration is the translation of the free talk in the 17th Saiyuki CD (Nothing to Lose ~Kamisama-hen~ kouhen) - the part posted here is the portion where Ishida-san speaks (around the 10:30 mark.) The audio is available to download here or at the birthday post, which I believe most of you came from to get here ^-^ My English turns weird when I translate, but I hope for those who didn't understand the free talk can get an idea :) Enjoy.

Seki Ishida-kun's health...

Hirata How is Akira-kun's health?

Ishida Um... I haven't really paid attention to my health or did anything (to improve it)...

Hirata But that means it's good right?

Ishida Before, when I was really young, it was good. But recently it's no good. (*dame)

Hirata What is it, like on the edge? (*girigiri)

Ishida (laughs) Girigiri... it came to a point that I'd say my body is girigiri...

Hirata Ah, really?

【石田さんお誕生日おめでとう】月刊アニメージュTV Vol54 台本＋翻訳

As a little celebration for our lovely seiyuu Ishida-san, I've decided share some translations I've done. The first one is the script and partial translation to the recent Gekkan Animage TV special interview on Ishida-san. I have skipped certain parts and focused on the parts where Ishida-san speaks. The translation is very rough and the script is plagued with mistakes, but I hope for those who don't know much of the Japanese language can get an idea of what was in the interview. Enjoy~ My only request is to not take my script or translations as your own, thank you.

Just to give a small summary of the beginning part that I didn't translate (as Ishida-san does not appear), it was Animage's 30th anniversary, and "Oojima" Sachiko (not KOjima - play on words with the name: one kanji is different - Oo is big, Ko is small) receives an email that orders her to go find this man named Ishida Akira to revive the legendary Anistar corner (where Animage interviews a seiyuu.) At first she didn't know who Ishida Akira was (as for some reason, in the email, she didn't get the actual image of Ishida-san but a weird text-art version of Ishida-san.) After a few random guesses from singers to comedians to anime characters to a cat) and a bit of searching, she found out he's a very successful seiyuu, winning awards, being the top seiyuu in many rankings, and also found out he doesn't like cameras through the Japanese wiki. She calls some staff and finds out Ishida-san is currently in the middle of recording Toshokan Sensou...

鈴木「石田さん．．．なんか、モヤッとしている人だと聞いたんですけど」
Suzuki "Ishida-san... um, I've heard he's sort of a foggy-headed person"
大島「モヤッと？」
Ooshima "Foggy-headed?"

鈴木「はい．．．そういうの僕はちょっと分かんないですね．．．知ってます？」
Suzuki "Yeah... but I'm not so sure about that... do you guys know?"
前野「人なのかどうかっていうのも．．．」 (OTL)

鈴森「なんか、声だけが存在して、魂みたいなものらしいですよ」

小島「今回のアニスターは石田彰さん。その美声は多くのファンを虜にし、今やアニメ界のジェームズ・ボンドとも言える声で女子を悩殺！しかし、何故その存在は謎に包まれたままなのでしょうか？」
Kojima "The Anistar his time is Ishida Akira-san. His beautiful voice has captured many fans' hearts. His voice that can be said to be James Bond in the anime world has continued to fascinate many girls. But, why is it that his existence is still so wrapped in mystery?"

Kojima "(omits PR stuff) Up until now, Ishida-san has been acting many different characters, but what kind of role would you think you would enjoy (acting out)?"

石田「とんがったところがあり過ぎない役というのが気持ち良かったりしますね。だから、こう、主人公で、こう、パワーフルで、でいうのはあの、自分じゃない部分を演じなきゃいけないので、大変なんですよ。面白いけど大変なんです。そっから一歩退いて、あの、（笑）そうですね、自分が本当にそういうタイプだというのが違うかもしれないですけど、普段、さっきも言ったように、おふってる自分にちょっとでも近いの役の方があの、分かりやすいというか、そんな役柄の方が、まあ、うん、面白いというか、こう、すごくすんなりと入ってくるという気がしますね。」
Ishida "A role without too many excessiveness (lit. too sharp, too many emotions) would be good. So, even though it's a main role, a powerful one, because I have to act out parts that are not me, it's tough. It's interesting but it's tough. If I take a step back (laughs) let's see, it may be wrong to say that I'm really that type of a person, but usually, like I said before, it'd be easier to understand if the role is closer to the me that is acting. Those kinds of roles are, well, un, to say interesting, I would feel I can go right into them (and understand them)."

How much do you guys usually pay for seiyuu magazines? I was told one would be around $26.14 + tax (which would come to around $30 CAD), it's pretty much triple the original Japanese price, which I can understand and all... But I'm just curious about the prices in other places of the world.

Going to put more stuff up before school starts... this is a translation from a special question session from an Animage issue featuring Ishida-san and Kojima Sachiko-san. This is probably the first translation I did of Ishida-san... which was from... just two months ago? Haha.

Morimori and the one thing he really wanted to have...

1.森川さんが中学生のとき・・・
どうしても欲しくて、パクって自宅まで持って来てしまったのは・・・
工事現場にある交通整備用の赤いポール

ちなみに、この事件は、学校の朝礼で校長が「盗んだ人は名のりでなさい。」というほどの大問題になってしまった。森川さんは結局、その場では名のりでなかったが、それから数日後の夜、森川さんが自分の部屋で寝ていたとき、母親に起こされ「あの事件の犯人、まさかアンタじゃないわよね？」と問いつめられた。そこでも森川さんはシラをきったが、暗い部屋の中で母親の視線は、机の奥にしまってあった蛍光仕様の赤いポールが放つ鈍い光に向けられていた。その後、この事件の犯人だということがバレてしまった森川さんは、校長室で正座させられた。

This should be a really well-known one, but I couldn't help but translate this one.

During Morimori's junior high school days, he had something he just HAD to have, to the point he had to bring it home. What was it? It was one of those red cones you see in construction sites. (Japanese reads 'po-ru', or a pole, but I think cone is a better word as we are all more familiar with that)

For some reason, this 'theft' was talked about so much that it was mentioned in Morimori's school and the principal requested the 'criminal' to come up and give his name. In the end, Morimori didn't give his name in. A few nights after, Morimori was in his room sleeping when suddenly he was woken up by his mother, "Don't tell me the criminal in that event was you?". (Insert one sentence I didn't understand). He then noticed his mother's view went toward a corner of his room where something red and glowing sat at the top of his desk... After that, it was revealed that Morimori was the 'criminal' and then he was required to kneel (I'm not too sure of this: seiza - dictionary meaning is seat of honour - it's most likely NOT a good thing in this case, so I used kneel) in the principal's office.

Hahaha.

One event Morimori won't invite Ishida-san to is...?

2. 森っちと石田さんは同い年。(学年は森っちが1つ上)デビュー時期も近く、今までに、外画・アニメなど共演した作品が数しれない２人は、仲が良い。
でも。
『彰くんは昔から知ってるし、現場でも仲いいし、イベントやラジオでも２人ともはじけるけど、　　　
《おまえら》のイベントだけは、さそえない・・・』
extra: 『《森川・檜山のおまえらのためだろ》のイベントだけは、返事がわかってるから、さそえない・・・』

Ahahaha. So, the beginning of the trivia states how Morimori and Ishida-san were born in the same year and debuted at around the same time and they have also worked together for countless number of works and are good friends. However... quoted from Morimori: "I knew Akira-kun from a long time ago, and we are good friends even during recordings, and we get along (somewhere along that) during events and radio stations, but Omaera (no Tame daro!) is the one event that I won't invite him to..."

It was said that the reason was because Morimori knows what the answer will be if he asks Ishida-san so he won't invite him. Haha, Ishida-san would probably then hold a grudge (a cute one, maybe) against Morimori, haha.

And well, yeah, I can't imagine Ishida-san in Omaera... really. I can't imagine Ishida-san crossdressing... I can't. And I sort of don't want him to, too ^_~

3.帝王・森もりの、好みのタイプは・・・・・
綺麗な髪で、ショート・ヘアーの女性。
ちなみに、胸の大きさは「問わない」のだそうです。

(昔二人でやっていたラジオで言ってました)
その理由(？)かどうかは分かりませんが、
その時、相方・檜山さんに
「そうだよなー、好きになっちゃったら関係ないよなー、ってか、バストなら、お前が充分持ってるもんなー」と、ツッコまれていました・・・・

Morimori said the above in an old radio show with Hiyama Nobuyuki. And after Morimori said what type of women he liked, Hiyama said, "That's true isn't it~~ as long as (you) like (that person) it doesn't matter... and, if we're talking about busts here, you have a big enough one yourself~~"

I know, not much of a trivia, but I laughed. Hard. My translation can't express it, but it was quite funny how Hiyama said it.

『業界専門用語と、保志に告白される事』と、答えた事がある。
慣れちゃうくらい、コクられているそうです。

One time, Morimori was asked to talk about things he was surprised at first, but then later on became used to. Hahahahaha. For some reason I really want to see that. Anyway, I'm quite doubtful with the last line about Hoshi-kun confessing a lot to Morimori, I keep hearing that one about the time Hoshi-kun was drunk and confessed to Morimori in a taxi, but other than that I didn't hear anything... @_@

5.聞こえる・・・・

That is... "milk". But apparently Morimori likes dairy products. it's just that Morimori doesn't seem to like things that are close to milk (maybe yogurt and all that?).

8.森川さんは男子高校時代の修学旅行で寝台列車に乗って行ったらしいのですが、その途中の通過駅を通る時真っ裸になって窓に張り付いたことがあるらしい。かなり見るに耐えない格好だったみたいです。

During a high school (the source also said it was an all-male school) trip Morimori was riding on the train - these trains had beds attached... um... the trains that are equipped for overnight travel and all. And while the train was passing by a station, apparently Morimori clinged onto the window while NAKED.

...Hahahaha! What a fun guy.

A long time ago, Morimori was asked "To compare an animal to yourself, what would that animal be?"

9.以前、『自分を動物に例えると？』という質問を、森もりが引き当てた時。

「そういうのって自分じゃ、わかんないよー。逆に、俺を動物に例えたら何か聞きたいよー。」と、言ったので、

「ラブラドール・レトリバーにして！」と、森もりが、言ったので
石田さんは、「じゃ、『笑いのとれるレトリバー』で。」と答えた。
森もりは、とてもうれしそうでした・・・。

"About that, even I don't know~. To turn it around, I want to ask if I was compared to an animal, what animal would I be~" When Morimori said that, Ishida-san (for some reason he was around; the sources don't say when or where this took place) said "Because Morikawa-kun is a serious and a hot-blooded person, wouldn't you be a police dog?" "Say Labrador Retriever!" said Morimori, and so, Ishida-san replied, "Then, I'll say 'A Labrador that forces laughs from others'" (thank you im_an_aaangel for a more accurate translation!!). Morimori seemed to be quite happy about that.

I'm sorry for the weird 'obtained' thingy... toreru has quite a bit of meanings, and when it's stuck with 'warai no toreru', it feels completely strange to me, so I tried my best. Since Morimori was happy with the answer, Ishida-san probably said something like that XD I want to hear this conversation!!!

Morimori = Katori Shingo!?

森川サンは、
ＳＭＡＰの香取慎吾に間違えられたことがある。

『おまえら』のイベント終了後、駅が出待ちのファンでごった返し、周囲が
「え？もしかして芸能人がいるの？？」的な雰囲気になっている時、
一般のおばさんから「あんた香取慎吾でしょ！？」と何度も言われ、
隣にいたマネージャーに間違えられていた檜山サンは
「こいつ違いますから！」と笑いながら説得した。

Morikawa-san was once mistakened as SMAP's Katori Shingo.

It was after an Omaera event, and the train station were jammming with fans waiting (not too sure about this), and when the atmosphere suddenly became "EH? Could it be that some idol is here?", some normal obasan suddenly said "You are Katori Shingo, aren't you!?" - and repeatedly. And standing beside Morikawa-san was Hiyama-san, who was mistakened for Katori Shingo's manager, laughed and said 'He isn't!' and somehow convinced the obasan.

This is Katori Shingo @ AsianHunk... I wouldn't say they look alike enough for those obasan to mistaken him as Katori... I guess maybe because of Morimori's blond hair??

When it rains...

雨が降ると…
遅刻する。

雨が降ってると急ぐと足元が滑るから、との事で
毎回遅刻してくるそうです。

When it rains... he is late (for recordings and such.)

It was said that because during the Japan series, the days clashed with his days for recording, therefore he got the days of the recordings changed.

Morimori and barriers...

去年歌舞伎町で突然誰かに「森川！」と呼ばれ、即座に結界を作ったと（笑）。実はその声は檜山さんだった。

From the recent NHG event, there was a talk where they'd draw out several keywords of the anime and talk about them. The word was barrier. Though Morimori said he never did put any barrier up around himself, there was a time... last year, when he went to Kabukichou (red-light district in Shinjuku), he heard a voice calling him, "MORIKAWA!" - and right there he 'created a barrier'. In reality the voice was Hiyama-san's.

Morimori and Ultra Seven...

子供の頃に・・・
森川さんは子供の頃ウルトラセブンが好きでよく観ていたみたいですが、怪奇色が強いストーリーの多いセブンなだけに、観た後に怖くなって眠れなかったことがよくあったそうな・・・

When Morimori was a child, he liked Ultra Seven (Wiki definition... think Ultraman) a lot and watched it often. However, the series was a bit scary and he often was too scared to sleep after watching it..

Morimori and kidnapper

Taken from his 20th anniversary CD, Morimori talked about an episode in Yokohama, where he came across a kidnapper (hitosarai). He and his mother were in a zoo, and he was looking at the penguins while holding his mother's hand when suddenly he realized he was holding someone else's hand. Morimori recalled that his parents searched for him with their lives, and of course, they found him. Morimori said there was a photo taken back then, though he can't find it anymore, he said he was very cute in the photo, enough that he would want to bring home such a kid as well. Morimori also wondered what would've happened to Morikawa Toshiyuki if his parents didn't find him back then.

An embarrassing event

A little warning for this one - I didn't completely understand the latter part... if anyone does, please tell me.
Again, taken from his 20th anniversary CD, Morimori talked about an episode about elementary school lunch. Usually, it would be school lunch/menu (kyuushoku), but there would be bentou-days as well, where they pack their own lunches. Mothers would always try their hardest to not embarrass their children and make nice lunches for them. In one of those bentou days, Morimori was given Oden as his lunch. He put it in his bag, along with his textbooks, but the lid was not closed tightly, and thus the broth spilled out, and onto his textbooks. As he flipped through his textbooks, it'd smell like Oden. When he went home that day, he said he wanted to make his mother kneel down and apologize to him for embarrassing him.

Morimori's very first job

Hatsugoe! Taken from his anniversary CD, Morimori's first word in his first job was "A", next was "I"... etc etc. Yes, he was to pronounce the fifty sounds of Japanese as one of those educational tapes for non-Japanese. He mentioned that he was very nervous, enough to feel his heartbeat (and was so nervous that he described being not able to feel where his heart is) and others around him as well could hear it. From a sensei (didn't catch the name) advised him to make a good impression with a greeting (aisatsu), so, when Morimori knocked onto the studio door and walked in, in a loud voice, he said, "I'm newcomer Morikawa Toshiyuki, yoroshiku onegaishimasu!" - but the only person in the room was a demae delivery person from a soba store. XD

Elementary-school-Morimori and Valentine's Day

Morimori said he was extremely popular back in elementary school (probably one of the most popular), and that he would often receive TONS and TONS of chocolate on Valentine's Day and it was a bit taihen. One of the memories he said he had from back then was running away from crowds of girls with his friend on Valentine's Day, so that they wouldn't be caught by the girls. If they were caught, they would be forced to take the chocolate.

Morimori's First Date

Taken from anniversary CD.
His first date was back when he was in his hometown. He went to a skate rink. And because he said he wouldn't know what to say if they went only as a couple - so he went as a group date of around 6 people... He described the feeling as it was like a group of friends pushing Morimori on the back (to maybe talk more with the girl etc) but Morimori going "Stop that!" And during the date he would keep thinking not to fall and not to embarrass himself.

Morimori thinks in his past life, he was an Italian male, profession in the fine arts, and probably was short-lived. THAT, or he was a Spanish male, and profession in bullfighting (Torero) and again, probably short-lived. Or, he would probably be a Spanish dancer. And in his next life, he thinks he will be an Italian fisherman/hunter (He said ryoushi, which could be 漁師, a fisher or or 猟師, a hunter).

All the way to the ceiling!

From here, apparently Morimori has a Christmas tree he puts in his home (that is HUGE, goes almost all the way to the ceiling) 365 days a year and he has it decorated all year long.

Itadakimasu...

From the Saint Beast Comedy CD free talk, as the theme was "funny/interesting episode", Morimori talked about the time (and only one time XD) Axl peed on him! They were both lying on the sofa when Axl rolled onto Morimori's knees FACE UP. Morimori then went to tickle Axl's chin and just said things like "What's up?" etc when suddenly he described Axl moved his face as if something happened. A second later, Morimori looked down Axl, and the instant that he did his face was already wet OTL OTL OTL He said he was so shocked, but Axl was also equally shocked!!!

He then warned people if your dogs roll on their backs, be careful. (I have to be careful too ORZ)

Train tickets

Morimori does not have a Suica or Pasmo, a card where you charge money into and what most people (at least in Tokyo anyways) use to pay to pass ticket gates in subway and train stations (as well as buy things from vending machines or any stores that have these machines) In the tokuten free talk for drama CD Kono Kuchibiru ni Yoru no Tsuyu, Morimori reveals that he still buys tickets whenever he rides the trains.

Special Axl

Morimori brought Axl to a studio once. It was complete chaos, quoted from Morimori. Axl ran around the lobby when Morimori entered the recording booth.

Ishida Akira trivia (constantly being updated...?!)

A short collection of some Ishida-san Trivia found on the net posted by fans on sites such as lain.gr.jp or 2ch and more, then translated by me. I can't guarantee the accuracy of these facts nor the accuracy of these translations (as I am just doing these for practice and fun). However, some are actually quoted from words Ishida-san said himself or wrote, some from magazines and some from events, so some of them are pretty believable. And please forgive my ugly English T_T

What did Ishida-san first think of when he got into that bike incident years and years ago?

やっぱり石田プロ！

石田さんはかつてバイクで事故ったことがあるが、
入院するほどの怪我だったにもかかわらず、事故の瞬間も「死ぬかもしれない」等とは思わず、
「しまった。仕事をどうしよう」
などと冷静に考えていた。

救急車がきて、担架にのせられたとき、載せ方がマズくてかなり痛かったのだが、
初めてなので「痛い」と訴えてよいものかわからず、黙ってガマンしていた。
どんなことでも経験がないとどう振舞ってよいかわからないものだが、勝手がわかったので、次に救急車に乗るときは[痛い」といえるはず、だとのこと。

I'm sure many of you know, but Ishida-san was in a ~~lot of~~ bike accident a few years ago.

It was said that the injury was not bad enough to be hospitalized. And at the moment of the accident, Ishida-chan didn't think "I might die", but rather calmly, "Shoot, what am I going to do about my work?"

When the ambulance arrived and Ishida-san was put onto the stretcher, the way they put him onto it was quite bad and it hurted. However, since it was his first time in this situation, he didn't know if it was good for him to say "it hurts" so he beared the pain. He said he will definitely be able to say "it hurts" next time if something like this happens.

PRO. Ishida-chan. さすが石田ちゃん．．．えらい。

Hard to approach?

最近ガラスの艦隊のメンバー（白石涼子さん、植田佳奈さん、伊藤静さん、釘宮理恵さん、津田健次郎さん、宮林穣さん）と飲み会に行った。その席で、白石さんは「石田さんとおしゃべりしたことがなくて、すごくしゃべりたい」と思っていたので本人に直接「お話しをしたいんですけど、どう話かけたらいいか分からないんです。」と話しかけた。
石田さんは最初はちょっと困られていたけど、好きな話のことになったら熱心に話し、ふとわれにかえって「なぜ、僕は熱く語っているんだ」と言われていた。

There were those drinking parties after the recording of Garasu no Kantai. 白石さん said she never really talked to Ishida-san much before even though she really wants to and so she told that directly to Ishida-san, saying "I really want to talk with you but I don't know what I should talk about." At first, Ishida-san was quite troubled by that but when he talks about something he is interested in, he gets excited and talks a lot... and suddenly he would say "How come I'm able to talk like this?"

Sing or quit being a seiyuu...

事務所から「歌を歌うか、声優を辞めるか、どっちがいいか」と迫られたらしい。

What a short trivia. Well, when Ishida-san decided to stop singing for animes or whatnot, guess what his company said to him? "Choose one - sing, or quit being a seiyuu". BLAH! Well, as we all know, he didn't get kicked out of his company~ duh.

Ishida-san made a few children cry?

公園でで子供たちを一斉に泣かせたことがある

石田さんが道を歩いているといつの間にか公園にいました。ふと足を踏み入れると子供たちに腕を引っ張られました。
「お兄ちゃん遊んで?！！」と言うと
「ごめんね?今遊べないんだ?」と笑顔で言う。しかし一人の男の子が石田さんの声を聞き、
「あ?！我愛羅だ?！！」と言った為に公園のほとんどの子供が付いてきてしまいました。そこで石田さんいっそ我愛羅になってしまおうと脅かしたところ、子供たちは怖がって泣きながら逃げて言ったそうです。
それを語った石田さんは、
「やっぱ台詞がいけなかったですかね?？とっさにうかんだこといっだだけなんですけどね?？」と笑顔で語っていた。どんな台詞かいささかわたしも気になる所です・・・・・。

Ishida-san was walking in a park one day when some children came up to him, pulled his arm, and wanted him to play with the kid. Ishida-san smiled and said sorry, he can't. When he said that, another boy recognized his voice and went "AH!? It's Gaara!!?" and because of this the children in the park kept following Ishida-san. And at that point, Ishida-san used his Gaara voice and said that line to the kids. Before I say what the line is, when he was recalling the event, Ishida-san said "As expected, I shouldn't have said that should I?"

The line was apparently "殺すぞ" (I'll kill you). Gaaaaah. Kowai, Ishida-san...

During a recording... Ishida-san apparently hit someone with the script...

石田さんは収録のときに・・・・・台本で人を殴ったことがある。

それはとある収録での出来事・・・・
とある声優さんが
「石田さんが女だったら」などと言ったため、
「え？」と言ったあと無意識に台本でその声優さんの
頭を台本でチョップしたようです。

Apparently, during the recording of NARUTO, Ishida-san was told "If only Ishida-san was a girl!" and Ishida-san went "EH?!" and without thinking, hit the said seiyuu with the script - on the head.

More information... during said recording, apparently there were two seiyuu with Ishida-san, Hirata-san (Hirata... Hiroaki?) and Inoue Kazuhiko. Apparently it was Inoue-san who said that to Ishida-san, and so Ishida-san hit him with the script.

Ishida-san and his phone call with Morikubo Shoutarou...

石田さんは・・・・・
この間、話しかけられた女の人に突然、「『イグアナ』ってオイシイんだよ？魚の味がするんだって」と言ったことがある。

石田さんは、そのとき公衆電話で森久保さんとお話しておりました。そのときの話題が、『変わった食べ物』だったのだそうです。森久保さんは、「このあいだ、テレビで『こうもり料理』っていうのがあったよ？」と言い、石田さんは、↑の迷言を言おうとしたそのとたんに、後ろから「すいません、まだ公衆電話使いますか？？」と女性が聞いた所、↑の言葉を言ったしまったんだそうです。（耳に受話器当てながら）その後石田さんは冷静沈着に、「あ、今空きますんで・・。」と言うと、しばらくして公衆電話を出ました。石田さんがこのあとで思ったことは、（俺、どうしてあんな冷静に対処したんだろう？？）・・だそうです。

This is one weird trivia. I don't really understand all of it, but here goes.
Ishida-san is known for not having a cellphone (edit: As of at least late 2006, Ishida-san began using a cell phone), and one time he was talking to Morikubo Shoutarou at a public telephone booth. The topic was "weird foods" and Morikubo-san was talking about a cooking show "Koumori Ryouri", and Ishichan was about to say something in response to that, which was "Iguana tte oishii n da yo? Sakana no aji ga suru n datte", but a woman suddenly appeared behind him and asked him if he was still using the telephone. And right at that moment, Ishida-san said "I heard Iguanas are good? They say it tastes like fish." Then... with the phone receiver still attached to his ear, he CALMLY told the woman, "Ah, I'll be out soon..." and soon after hung up. When Ishida-san recalled this, he was like "I... how was I able to deal with it so calmly ??"

I laughed until my stomach hurted. Especially at how Ishida-san was surprised how he was able to deal with it so calmly.

昔彰くんは（小学生くらいのころ）クラスメイトに悪口を言われた仕返しに階段で転ばすという悪戯を考え出した。
そして実行！！
クラスメイトはそのまま石ころのごとく転倒。
彰くんの悪戯成功！
ところが！！
転んだクラスメイトはそのまま校長先生と激突。しかもその勢いで校長先生のヅラがスッポーン！と飛んでいきそのヅラが水槽にポチャンと落ちてしまいました。しかもそのヅラが入った衝撃（かどうかは分かりませんが）で水槽の水がこぼれそのこぼれた揺れのせいで水槽が落ち、中にいた貴重な魚や生き物が干物状態に・・・。しかもそのあげく走っていた通りすがりの生徒が水で滑って転び職員室に突っ込むという昔の漫画にも出てこないような大惨事となってしまいました。
結局彰くんはその場から撤退し、先生にそのことを同窓会まで黙っていたそうな・・。ちなみにそのクラスメイトは掃除をされられ校長室でずーっと説教をされていたそうです。

So, when Ishida-san was young (around elementary school), to get revenge on his classmate who said bad things about him, he planned to make the classmate fall (down?) the stairs, and he succeeded! (The person who wrote the trivia also said the classmate fell like a 'stone'... Ishi=stone, lol)
HOWEVER!!
The classmate who was falling down accidentally bumped into the principal, and the principal's WIG fell into a fish tank. And because the wig fell into the tank, it made the water go up and down, and then the tank fell. All the fish inside became 'dried fish' (LOL) and it made the corridor all slippery - other classmates who ran past slipped... and bumped into the staff rooms... the person who posted described it as such a tragic scene that you wouldn't even see a manga (LOLOLOL)
Ishida-san walked away from the scene, and seemed to have kept quiet about it until... class reunion!?
And lastly, the classmate was said to have asked to clean up the mess, and then was given a lecture by the principal.

What special powers does Ishida-san want to have?

石田さんは『もしも超能力を使うことが出来たら、どんな能力が欲しいですか？』という質問に対し・・・
「僕、外を歩いているとき、人混みが苦手なんで・・・
　自分の周りの半径１０ｍ以内の人間を消せる能力が
　欲しいです。」と、コメントしたことがある。

When Ishida-san was asked the question of "If you could use superpowers, what kind of powers would you like?" Here's what he said:

"I'm quite weak against crowds of people when I walk outisde. So, I would like the power to be able to rid of the people within my 10m radius range."

This seems to have been a question asked in a Saint Beast CD free talk.

Ishida-san and Koyasu Takehito-san during BL recordings...

有和石田合作過的大都知道，石田在配BL Drama時是不會看著對手的~
知道這一點的子安便以此弱點在錄音室欺負石田了。

子安特地叫人拿兩張椅子面對面的放在錄音室裡並力邀石田和他一起坐(面對面)
石田便以不習慣看著對手為理由婉拒，而子安則以習慣看著對手為理由力邀。

最後各人讓了一步，兩人背對背的坐著。
這時候，子安伸出惡魔之手十指緊扣石田的手，一邊配音一邊用手指非禮石田的手心~

後來整個Drama錄完後，石田避子安好一陣子...

A random trivia in Chinese. I couldn't find the Japanese equivalent. But anyway.
Apparently Ishida-san doesn't look at his opponents during recordings of BL dramas. And Koyasu Takehito, who knew of this 'weakness' of Ishida-san, decided to bully him a bit in the recording studio. >_<

Koyasu-san arranged two chairs face-to-face inside the studio and invited Ishida-san to sit across from him in those chairs. Ishida-san refused with the reason that he's not used to looking at his opponent (during recording), and Koyasu-san insisted with the reason that he's used to looking at his opponents (during recording).

Finally, both sides took a step back and they sat back-to-back each other. But during the recording, Koyasu-san apparently was holding Ishida-san's hand (quite tightly it seems) and kept playing with his palm. *huge sweats*

After all the recordings finished, apparently Ishida-san avoided Koyasu-san for a while...

Uwaaaaah. Koyasu-san?????? Anyone wants to bully Ishida-san T^T I wonder which BLCD it was. I'm wondering about the authenticity of this one to be honest with you |||

Ishida-san and Snoopy...

石田さんはスヌーピーの絆創膏を貼ってラジオ収録に出かけたことがある。

それはある雨上がりの日、石田さんは溜まりに溜まった洗濯物を片付けようと近所のコインランドリーへ出かけました。（石田さんの家には洗濯機がありません）両手に洗濯物の入った袋を提げアパートの階段を下りる途中、濡れた階段に足を滑らせ尻餅をつく形で転んでしまったそうです。その際両手をついたため掌の下の部分を擦りむいてしまい、とりあえず応急処置に絆創膏でも・・・と思ったのですが、その時家には何故だかスヌーピーの柄の絆創膏しかなく、その日はその絆創膏を貼ったまま仕事場にまで行ってしまったらしいのですが・・・。
ラジオで共演していた氷上さんに「何可愛らしいの貼ってるんですか！？」とつっ込まれてました。

It was a rainy day, and on his way to work, Ishida-san decided to drop off his clothes at the nearby laundry (it is said that Ishida-san doesn't have a washing machine in his house, though the info may be dated). While he was walking down the stairs from his apartment, he slipped on the wet steps and fell on his bottom. Because his hands supported the fall, his palm was somewhat scratched - and so he thought he has to get some sort of bandage soon. As he thought that, his house for some reason had nothing else but a SNOOPY plaster. And so, he put that plaster on and off he went for a recording in the same day. Of course, he got all sorts of comments from seiyuus he was recording with - "What is that cute thing you have put on!?" - from Hikami Kyouko).

Hahahaha. I wanted to see that. (Too tired for comments)

Ishida-san and his clothes in Haruka Matsuri 2006...

石田さんは２日目の遥か祭で保志さんが前日着ていた服を着ている

Apparently, on the second day of Haruka Matsuri 2006, Ishida-san wore what Hoshi Souichirou wore on the first day of Haruka Matsuri.

Ishida-san only attended the second day, by the way.

Eh? From what I heard, Ishida-san wore a light pink shirt underneath a short-sleeved jacket thing that had goldfish patterns on it... hmm. Now I think of it, it IS something Ishida-san doesn't usually wear... haha. But I don't think it's true though. XDDD Then I wonder if Hoshi-kun wore Ishida-san's clothes on that day?? ...These trivia stuff is getting disorganized......

edit: this was confirmed by Sou-san from A-FESTA that indeed, on the second day of Haruka Matsuri, Ishida-san wore ~~(at least the outer shirt)~~ both the outer shirt and the inner shirt Hoshi-kun wore on the 12th. This is honestly too weird for me to take. I wonder if this was at all talked about on the second day of the event~

edit: by newly released photos, it turned out Ishida-san DIDN'T wear Hoshi-kun's shirt XD The two shirts have similar patterns, but styles, button colours and the collars were different. As to why they decide to wear shirts of similar colours and patterns in an event together, one has to wonder XDDDD

Ishida-san wasn't allowed into the studio??

これから本番だ！！っていうのに・・・
････スタジオに入れて貰えなかった。

学園アリスのドラマＣＤ収録時、石田さんがスタジオの外へトイレ休憩に行っている間に、
Ｋさん(石田さん談)がドアを閉めて本番をスタートさせてしまったので、スタジオに入れなかった。
ちなみにこのスタジオで一番先輩なのは、石田さんでした(笑)

では、最後に石田師匠の叫びをどうぞ。｢いじめ、撲めぇーーつっ！！(笑)｣

During a recording for Alice Gakuen, Ishida-san went for a washroom break. Fellow seiyuu K-san (not familiar with the casting and too lazy to research XD) shut the door and began the recording, and when Ishida-san came back, he couldn't go in. Of course, they were just playing a joke on him. The source also says that Ishida-san was the most senior (in experience and maybe age) in the entire cast.

After that, Ishida-san sort of screamed and yelled "You bullies!!" (or something close to that).

Haha. He's always getting bullied!!!!

Hoshi-kun and Ishida-san's first meeting...

無口な二人。

ほっしーが、初めて石田彰さんに会ったのは、ＣＤの仕事の時。
初対面ながらも、一緒に電車に乗って帰った二人。
無言のまま、乗っていると
「石田さんが『僕、普段はあまり喋らないから』と、気を使って言ってくれた。」そうで、無言のままだったけれど、
「とても和みました。」と、コメントしていた。
が、石田さんは、その時の事を「覚えていない」と、答えていた…

...There were no conversations between the two.

The first time Hoshi-kun and Ishida-san met was during a recording for a CD. They also rode the train back home together.
They spoke nothing to each other during the ride when suddenly, Ishida-san said "(Because)I usually don't speak a lot..." with care (Hoshi-kun probably meant Ishida-san said it like he really really meant it and that he's sorry for the silence?). And in response to this (I think later on in an interview, not that day on the train), Hoshi-kun said "That made me feel very calm.".

However, when this event was mentioned to Ishida-san, he actually said "I don't remember." ......T^T

The source of this trivia apparently came from this Saiyuki fanbook and this meeting was dated back when Ishida-san still had long hair and Hoshi-kun didn't have his now-spiky hair...

Ishida-san's best buddy is...

真殿光昭さん！

二人でやっていたラジオで
「親友は？」
という質問に石田さんは真殿さん御本人を目の前にして答えてました！

...Madono Mitsuaki-san, it seems. Apparently, Ishida-san was asked who his best friend was on said radio program, and he answered "Madono Mitsuaki", and it turned out Madono-san was also right next to him!

Haha. Well, I know they are good friends, as to -how- good only they will know. But they are from the same agency, so they must be quite close. I suddenly remember that short free talk from Manatasu no Higaisha... (laughs)

Ishida-san... seiyuu since he was a kid??

石田さんは子供の頃友達と一緒にアフレコの真似みたいなことをして遊んでいた。漫画なんかを見ながら自分たちでどのキャラのセリフを言うかを決めてそれをカセットテープに吹き込むという遊びだったようです。石田さんはそのテープをなくしてしまったらしいが、友達の一人が「俺まだ持ってる」と言ったとか。
この話を聞いたのがずいぶん前だったので今現在ではそのテープはどうなっているのか・・・

When he was still a child, Ishida-san often would read manga with his friends and decide which character they would read lines of, and then they would record it using cassette tapes (sort of like the live dramas we see in events now). Though Ishida-san said he can't find his copy of the tape now, he said one of his friends still has it.

Who besides me want that!? The more I read about Ishida-san the more I realize the reasons he said as to why he became a seiyuu were just fake. The guy knew he would be a seiyuu from the beginning! NOT because a voice from the sky told him to, not because his parents would be relieved, and certainly NOT because he just felt like it and somehow decided to become one! I also read a magazine article somewhere and Ishida-san said that he was originally extremely, extremely interested in the world of seiyuus, although at the time when he entered the training centres, seiyuu was still pretty unknown... but anyway...

Ishida-san's first love...?

...was his (first?) motorcycle, Kawasaki GPz400F. When he first saw it in an advertisement in a magazine, he thought: "I didn't know there was such a beautiful motorcycle in this world..." It seems to be a bike from the late 80s.

No Japanese text for this one, sorry... I got this information from Mainichi blog. Haha, we all thought his first love was when he was 22? Hehe. Anyway, Ishida-san did a small column called "Ishida Akira no Toriaezu Kore!" (Ishida Akira's in any case, this! or something like that) in each Animage magazine back in 1996-1997. Ishida-san would write about a topic each time as well as do an illustration related to that said topic. In the illustration, Ishida-san drew his bike and wrote "boku no hatsukoi" (my first love) next to it.

Reason why Ishida-san kept his hair brown...

いまだ茶髪の理由。現在、兄弟役で共演中のお２人。

森川兄　「彰くん、髪染めたんだねー」
石田弟　「舞台の仕事でちょっと。でも、すぐに戻すのも面倒だから、しばらくはこのままでもいいかなって。森川くんは、ずっと染めてるよね。」
森川兄　「そうなんだよねーもうこれが普通になっちゃって。どう変えようか考えるのも面倒だから、ついなんとなくね。」

面倒・・・。　でもいつか黒髪のツーショットも見てみたいなぁ。

As we all ~~should~~ know, Ishida-san dyed his hair for a stage play his agency, Mausu Promotion held in May 2006 (Ishida-san played a university student in his 20s, it seemed). In SOME recent interview/talk, apparently Ishida-san and Morimori had a conversation about their hair colours.

Morimori "Akira-kun, you dyed your hair nee"
Ishida-san "(Because) I had to do a stage play. But, to revert it (back to black) would be troublesome, so I thought it would be OK if it stayed for a while like this. Morikawa-kun, you have kept dying your hair ne."
Morimori "That's true~~ But this has now become something normal. And it was troublesome to think of how to change it, so I just left it like this."

This pair of brothers (NHG reference)... haha.

Ishida-san thinks Morimori is a what type of animal?

以前、『自分を動物に例えると？』という質問を、森もりが引き当てた時。

「そういうのって自分じゃ、わかんないよー。逆に、俺を動物に例えたら何か聞きたいよー。」と、言ったので、
石田さんが、「森川くんは真面目で熱血漢だから、警察犬とかじゃない？」と答えた。
すると
「ラブラドール・レトリバーにして！」と、森もりが、言ったので
石田さんは、「じゃ、『笑いのとれるレトリバー』で。」と答えた。
森もりは、とてもうれしそうでした・・・。

A long time ago, Morimori was asked "To compare an animal to yourself, what would that animal be?"

"About that, even I don't know~. To turn it around, I want to ask if I was compared to an animal, what animal would I be~" When Morimori said that, Ishida-san (for some reason he was around; the sources don't say when or where this took place) said "Because Morikawa-kun is a serious and a hot-blooded person, wouldn't you be a police dog?" "Say Labrador Retriever!" said Morimori, and so, Ishida-san replied, "Then, I'll say 'A Labrador that obtains laughs'". Morimori seemed to be quite happy about that.

I'm sorry for the weird 'obtained' thingy... toreru has quite a bit of meanings, and when it's stuck with 'warai no toreru', it feels completely strange to me, so I tried my best. Since Morimori was happy with the answer, Ishida-san probably said something like that XD I want to hear this conversation!!!

What is one role that left an impression on Ishida-san?

インタビュアーさんに、
「今までに出演した中で、気に入っている作品や役は？」と、聞かれて、
「いつも、今かかわっている作品・役が一番好きだし考えていますね。」と、答えた彰師匠。が、
「でも・・・、石田さんはキャリア長くされているし、１つくらい、すごく心に残ってたりする作品とか、ありませんか？」と、質問され、師匠は
「じゃあ、・・・（すごく悩んで）・・・・『うら最』。」と、答えた。

Ishida-san was asked by an interviewer about a role that Ishida-san really liked or got interested in. Ishida-san replied that he would always like the role he's doing at the moment the best. But, the interviewer asked further and said that Ishida-san MUST have a role that left a bigger impression on him since his career has been so long... And so, Ishida-san finally replied (after a long time)... "Ura Sai".

Ura Sai... The little parodies that appear after many episodes of Saiyuki.

Something that he does himself... that is, cutting his hair.

いつも自分で。

石田さんは、いつもご自分で髪を切ってらっしゃるそうです。
慣れれば、後ろも切れるようになるとのこと。

ただ今年はカラーリングした際に、
パーマも少しかけたため、切りにくくなったので美容院にお行きになったとか。

It seems that Ishida-san always cuts his hair by himself.
If (one) gets used to it, (one) can also cut the back of the hair.

However, because he had his hair dyed this year, as well as a small perm, it became difficult to cut and so he made a visit to the salon. (From Mago Raji)

Ishida-san and cell phones...

Written completely from memory. In a certain Saiyuki event, during a Q&A section with questions from fans, one of them was directed to Ishida-san, asking what cell phone ringtone he has.

Well, our Ishida-san (at that time) did not own a cell phone. But he said if he was to have one (I say he probably does, since at the event he said it WAS certainly inconvenient without one; edit: he does own one as of late 2006) the ringtone would be a normal one, or none. Why? That's because if it happens to ring while he's watching a movie in a theatre, he'd be able to apologize to the people around him by saying "I'm sorry for letting such a boring ringtone ring!"

EDIT: Most likely he does own one now. Why? On Kaida-san's birthday, she called him at midnight; Ishida-san never picked up, but responded by mail a while after, so most likely he owns one now.

Ishida-san and Kaida Yuki-san's birthday present exchange...

Taken from Kaida Yuki-san's blog, Ishida-san received bath crystals/gels from Kaida Yuki-san, and in return, he gave Kaida-san a bottle of Japanese wine for her birthday. Kaida-san was surprised by the present and wonders what sort of image Ishida-san has of her.

What did Kaida Yuki-san do (involving Ishida-san) on her birthday?

...she called him.

This was taken from the first of the two Shounen Onmyouji radio episodes where Ishida-san appeared as a guest in. As soon as the clock struck 12AM, Kaida-san called Ishida-san. ~~She let the phone ring for 3 seconds before hanging up.~~ (*read edit2) Why did she call him? She was in a bar with a couple of friends that night, and she was saying that she emailed Ishida-san on his birthday and actually got a reply. Everyone around her immediately told her to call Ishida-san to prove that she actually knows Ishida-san's contact info, and so she did.

He never picked up. The other host, Konishi Katsuyuki-san, said Ishida-san was sleeping and that was why he didn't pick up. Kaida-san asked if Ishida-san was really sleeping, he said he wasn't, instead, he was checking the script for that day's recording. (In other words, the recording of that week's episode was on Kaida-san's birthday)

Edit: So I was right that he didn't pick up, but he DID respond back by mail which means Ishida-san does own a cell-phone. He responded back 3 seconds after Kaida-san called him and so Kaida-san was showing everyone how Ishida-san responded by mail in the izakaya XDDDD (aka showed people her cell phone display...)

Edit2: The 3-second thing was actually the time Ishida-san replied her via. keitai mail! I wonder why he didn't pick up in the first place though.

Ishida-san and two of his convenience store stories...

#1Taken from one of the endless amount of Harukanaru Toki no Naka de seiyuu talks, Ishida-san talked about one incident that occurred during a trip to the convenience store.

As we all (may) know, Ishida-san often buys bentous (Japanese 'lunch' box) at convenience stores. When he bought one, the cashier asked if he wanted it heated. Ishida-san said onegaishimasu, and the cashier went to do so. While waiting and looking elsewhere, he heard a voice out of nowhere that said "Is one pair of chopsticks alright?" (he said it in not-such-a-nice-tone.) He thought the question was directed to some other customers. When he heard the question the second time, he realized there weren't any other customers around and pointed to himself, asking if the question as directed to him. The person who asked it (not the cashier) made a of-course-duh nod. Ishida-san didn't get it, because it's not like he bought another container or anything along with him.

In the end, Ishida-san just didn't get why the person had to ask. He concluded by saying that if you really had to ask, just put a pair and that it's all right to do just so.

#2A second one was a short one taken from a clip in the making DVD of Gobangai de Aimashou. It was just a short portion they included in the DVD and it had the cast talking about things they see/experienced in convenience stores. Ishida-san said that after warming up your bentous, the cashiers/workers in the store would always say "omataseshimashita" (I've kept you waiting), and USUALLY you would reply maybe with a thank you or no... what did Ishida-san reply? "Matemashita." (I've waited) XDDDDDDD This guy...

Ishida-san has panic disorder...?

Again, written by memory. This is taken from the free talk in a Miscast CD (Fuan no Tachiba.) The theme was 'uneasiness' (fuan). Ishida-san said when he was young, he used to have an extreme fear of death. This fear started when he was in nusery school (=[]=|||), he would sit in the playground where other kids were playing and think "You brats... I'm here worrying for all of you!" He knew that if you die, it means that you will be gone from the world, that you will forget everything in this world, and that the things you did will also be gone.

He says even now the fear exists. He says sometimes he would have to scream out loud in order to suppress it. So, he wondered if he had a panic disorder or some other sort of mental disorder. He went to a bookstore to look up the name and information... to find out that the ones who are diagnosed with panic disorder go through a more difficult and horrible time. So on the way home from the bookstore, he held his head down and thought "What a small fuan that was... what a small human I am..."

After listening to this... I can't ignore how many similarities I have with him. Me, too, when I was in my second year of kindergarten, was told by my homeroom teacher that one day you will die, and that you'll never ever see your family or friends. After I was told that, I would always carry around bags and bags of toys and other favourite things around and drag them around the house. = =' Thank goodness my mom noticed after a few months and forced the reason out of me so I no longer have that fear now. I wonder who ever told Ishida-san about death at such a young age... I would like to do SOMETHING to that person. >=(

Why doesn't Ishida-san visit his family on new years?

Written by me, again. Taken from the last episode of his radio Ishida Akira no Kodawari Club 2, he read a fanmail and began talking about new years/birthdays/futures.

For the past few years, he doesn't return to his old home (Aichi) until after the new year. He would always return home after the new year has passed. Why? That's because the Shinkansen is always crowded during the before-new-years period, and empties right away after the new year, so he would always take the shinkansen back home after the new years. He realizes that it must've caused a lot of trouble and unhappiness for his family, but to me, it doesn't seem like he has any intention to change XD

Ishida-san and Chinese exchange student...

This piece of information was published in a certain seiyuu magazine in China. I don't have the actual magazine nor the actual passage, but...

There was a Chinese student named Liko who went abroad to study in Japan, just for Ishida-san. After a certain event (again, I don't know what the event was), there was a section for hand-shaking. When Liko went up to Ishida-san, she told him she came to Japan just for him. It was said that Ishida-san's first reaction was to immediately apologize and bow. Liko was obviously, shocked, so were the many fans who read about this.

After this incident, fans warn that even if you are to really go to Japan to work/study just for Ishida-san, don't tell him. He doesn't want to feel like he's an idol or some godly figure.

Ishida-san and the tickets to HeroQ stageplay...

From Mago Raji, again. (I love those episodes...) It took me a long while before I knew what they said due to my poor Japanese skills ~___~

Ishida-san went to see a stageplay called HeroQ (main were SekiTomo and Konitan I think), and since he didn't know which day he'd go, he didn't make any calls in advance, and thought that it'd be the same if he went to the actual theatre on the day he would be able to go.

However, he didn't know that HeroQ staff used the drawing system for tickets sold on the day of the play: meaning, if you wanted the tickets to a particular day, you would have to line up for a raffle ticket - if your raffle gets drawn, you'd be able to buy a ticket to the stageplay. (Please correct me if I'm wrong on this) Without knowing that, Ishida-san went to the theatre...

...And he lined up. HE LINED UP. HE FREAKING LINED UP FOR THE TICKETS!!

There were no details as to the reactions of other people who were lining up with him, but eventually the HeroQ staff came and 'discovered' Ishida-san, and 'confusedly' (awatete) led him inside XD Konitan and Kaida-san both said he should've contacted people involved in the stageplay... and futhermore, Ootsuka Akio-san was in the play - and he's in Mausu!! Lol - Ishida-san should've just asked him!! XD If I was lining up behind him... what would I do? If you were lining up behind him, what would YOU do??

It's from a radio show Konitan was on guest before: Otokomae Tsuushin, date, or even year etc are unknown, but it makes this more believable!
EXTRA: with more research, this 'radio show' is only for CELLPHONES it seems. It's a mobile radio show. *sighs, that means possibility of finding it and hearing it for myself is close to zero*

After a recording (didn't say what), it was raining a lot outside, and the only ones who brought umbrellas were Ishida-san and Konishi Katsuyuki-san. Suwabe Junichi-san came by his car, but it was quite far from where they did their recording. And at that spot, Suwabe-san said "Ja, otsukaresama deshita!" and began running to his own car. Ishida-san, who was there to see him, said "Ah, dame da yo dame da yo" and began running after Suwabe-san with his umbrella. It was said (retold by Konishi-san) that Ishida-san got wet from the rain while sheltering Suwabe-san to his car.

The umbrella story (LOL) was also mentioned in Suwabe-san's blog. The reason why Ishida-san ran after him with his umbrella was because "it wouldn't be good if he caught a cold" (Squeeeee)

EDIT EDIT EDIT: with not-too-much sweat, I went through all of Suwabe-san's journal entries and although he had mentioned Ishida-san elsewhere other than this umbrella episode, in his specific entry where he DID talk about the episode, he didn't specifically say "ISHIDA-SAN", which made me crazy because I was using the search button. But, here it is... I BELIEVE this was the entry people were pointing to:

昔（１０年くらい前？）ゴクドー君のラジオたまたま聞いていた人（男）に聞いたんだが。
質問ＢＯＸ（中には大量のお題の書いてある紙）からそれぞれ自分で質問の書いてある→他の人に質問を読まれて、それに答える（拒否権無し）ってネタがあって、石田さんが女性の共演者（名前失念）に

「最近ぶっちゃげヤッてます？」

って質問読まれた瞬間盛大に吹いて、大変照れていらしたそうだ。
その後照れ進行→他の共演者にニヤニヤされる→更に照れる→「ち、ちゃんとに答えないと駄目なんですか？」と照れつつ何度も発言。→制作者側からは「面白いから答えて」の方向に。→結局３０分番組なのにこのいじりだけで１０分位時間経過。最後にはピーが入ってたけど、答えてたみたい。

聞いた人に感想を聞いたが、照れてる石田さんよりピー入りで答えた後の共演者の「えー」「あー」「そうなんだぁ（酷く納得した口調で）」の反応が印象的だったそうだｗｗ

その後うさぎ先生に「相手は男の方？」とか聞かれて
「もう僕は何も答えません！」とすねる石田さんが可愛かった

So, there was a section in the radio bangumi where the hosts and casts would have to draw questions from a box. The questions were written from the cast themselves, directed at their fellow seiyuus in the anime. They would have no right to not answer the question (laughs).

So, there was a question to Ishida-san from a female seiyuu (which in the latter part of the source revealed that it is Mitsuishi Kotono - seiyuu of Tsukino Usagi from Sailor Moon)...

"Saikin bucchake yattemasu?"

..."Honestly, have you -done it- lately?" is what the question translates to.

The moment it was asked, the studio went into big commotion, and it seems like Ishida-san became very embarrassed - and this led on as the fellow seiyuu kept grinning and smirking at him (niyaniya sareru), which made Ishida-san EVEN MORE embarrassed.

Ishida-san said, many times, "Must I really properly answer this?", and then even from the STAFF there was a hint of: "(Because) It's interesting, so answer it"... Ishida-san tried many methods to avoid answering it - just changing the topic, leaving odd moments of silence, pretending to cry etc...

The show was only 30 minutes long and 10 minutes of it was dedicated to them bullying Ishida-san and making him answer it. And the end, there was a "BIIIIIII" sound and it seems like he answered it.

Of course, there were questions of how they felt to those who were able to hear his answer. "Eh~~" "Ah..." "Is that so..." (A tone that shows they were pretty convinced and satisfied with the answer)

Mitsuishi-san sort of said Ishida-san was about to cry, and asked if he was okay, but Ishida-san answered it, quite 'clearly' (kicchiri?). Afterwards, Nakamura Usagi-san (the creator of Gokudo) asked if the person was a male, and Ishida-san replied "I won't answer anything anymore" and said goodbye to everyone. Mitsuishi-san told Ishida-san to blame the staff, and in the end Ishida-san screamed a "TEME FUZAKEN JA NEE!!!!!" - but it sounded too cute >3<

Now that I've actually heard the track, I can talk a bit more about it.
...not that I have any thing more informative to add... but Ishida-san was EXTREMELY, extremely cute, though troubled that he had to answer the question at the same time, he didn't think about making a lie at all.

Ishida-san and Valentine chocolate

Ishida-san mentioned this a few times in different free talks and stuff (two I could think on top of my head are Saiyuki free talk and BokuKimi free talk)... but his actual first crush was when he was in 4th grade in elementary school. He never confessed to the girl, but it was ironic because he said the first Valentine chocolate he received was most likely from that girl he liked, though he turned down the girl when she gave him the chocolate (because he was too shy). He also said that if he had received the chocolate, maybe his life would've changed and he would have had a family by now. XD

Ishida-san and email

The source for this is from 2ch reporting about the Oshaki radio that Onosaka Masaya hosted a few weeks back. Guest was Okiayu Ryoutarou. If anyone has this radio, please please please send it to me??

Onosaka Masaya said Ishida-san is one of those people whom he really wants to email to but can't. He (proudly?) said that he got Ishida-san's email, but he can't email him because he's afraid that Ishida-san will think his way of writing or whatever is annoying (uzai). Onosaka seems to want to invite Ishida-san to see his live some time in the future, but he's afraid of being rejected (and probably therefore afraid of the way he writes and asks) - he DID say that if Ishida-san does come to his live, he has a lot of "Ishida Kikaku" ready for him XDDDDD

Later on, Onosaka explains the process he went through to get Ishida-san's email. He was in the afureko for Sangokushi, and he asked Okiayu Ryoutarou "I want to know Ishida-kun's cell phone email, but I can't ask him...", and so, Okiayu went to Ishida-san (who just arrived to the studio) and said "Hey, that old man (ossan) said he wants to know your cell phone mail address." - and Ishida-san didn't refuse to give it. Okiayu also got the email at that time (meaning he didn't know beforehand either). It was said that he knew Ishida-san's phone number and computer email address, and since heard the uwasa that Ishida-san got a cell phone, he took the chance to ask him :) It was said that Onosaka asked Okiayu to do it because Okiayu's famous (?) for asking mail address from females... ~~Ishida-san wa josei ka yo!~~

Onosaka was a bit afraid to ask ne... I can understand XD

Edit: Okiayu and Onosaka talk a bit more about Ishida-san and getting his email address (cell phone address) on April 21 2008's Oshaki radio. Though the hosts (well, Onosaka already has Ishida-san's email) were still very happy for Okiayu being able to get Ishida-san's email, Okiayu said that there's not much point to it (WHAAAT) because Ishida-san replies very late XDD

On top of that, he says surprisingly there are many females in the industry who know Ishida-san's email address...

From Suparobo OG Radio Umasugi Wave #55, there was a little talk about the getogethers of the cast in Gintama. The opening quiz of the radio show was "What's the actual name of EVA's AT Field?" (Absolute Terror Field; many refer this to Ishida-san because of the 'barriers' he holds against people, not going out to parties, like to be by himself etc etc) Sugita Tomokazu is one of the hosts on the show and he responded to the quiz as "Akira tama ni kuru field" XDDDDDD (translates as the Akira sometimes comes field) and began talking about the outing to meals after recordings to Gintama and that Ishida-san sometimes attends them (!!)

Sugita said though most of the time people are very busy after recordings, Ishida-san sometimes comes. And the other hosts (Kondo and Aizawa) began going WAAAAAAH at it. Sugita then goes into detail - when Ishida-san was eating
nabe yakiudon (which is hot foods boiled in a small pot and you eat straight from the pot), apparently it was a bit hot, and he went "Atsuu" (hot) and Sugita was smiling sitting beside Ishida-san XDDDD (mina hentai ka? XDDD JOKE) And Kugimiya Rie (seiyuu of Kagura) was sitting across from Ishida-san going all MOE when she saw this. KYAA AKIRA!! <-- Sugita explained the situation to be something like that XDD

Ishida-san and his sister

Ishida-san has an elder sister who is 2 years older than him.
From a Saint Beast Kedaten radio (#10 - 4 seiyuus were present, including Sakurai Takahiro, Sugita Tomokazu and Miyata Kouki), Ishida-san talked about his relationship with his elder sister. From other places, he already said that they used to fight a lot, but in this Kedaten radio, Ishida-san really expressed his dislike for his sister.

From a fanmail, the seiyuu were asked to talk about their relationships with their siblings. Ishida-san said he has a bad relationship with his sister and they fight a LOT, until his sister cries. They quarrel so much that Ishida-san said it may be better if he didn't have a sister. (he used "inakunareba ii", which translates to if (she) wasn't here)

Sakurai said he himself once wanted a sister. Ishida-san said it was good and the right thing that Sakurai doesn't have one. Sakurai also commented that Ishida-san doesn't look like the type who would quarrel. Ishida-san replied that he doesn't do so outside, but at home he does. Ishida-san also said he used to hear a lot of his friends when he was young being jealous that Ishida-san has a sister, but of course he didn't feel the same way and feels that it's a misunderstanding.

Sugita asked what type of things they fight over. Ishida-san said they fight over the smallest of things, such as the raising and lowering of chopsticks. (He said hashi no ageoroshi - if it means something else please correct me)

After Miyata Kouki talked about his great relationship with his elder sister, Ishida-san just totally kireta XDD "USO! NANI SORE!?!?!?" @ Ishida-san. He then began analyzing Miyata and Miyata's sister's relationship as a mother-son relationship. Lol. They ended the talk with "there are all types of siblings"...

Well, it's not like I don't understand him, but I just hope their relationship is better now that they don't live together and don't see each other that often. ^^''

Ishida-san's biggest farewell

Taken from the free talk for drama CD "Tales of Eternia level 4".

Theme was the biggest farewell you have had in your life. Ishida-san answered that with the time he first moved from Aichi to Tokyo and began living on his own. He thought he would be fine on his own until during nighttime, he'd lie on his bed and realize that his family members aren't around him in the house that he's in and would feel very sad and a bit lonely. He didn't think he'd feel that way and when he did, he thought he was a very weak guy.

But then after that, he said that once he got used to it, nowadays he feels it's very bothersome to go back home (in Aichi) and only goes home during New Year's. Once he's back home, he said he has nothing to do and wants to go back to Tokyo XD; he then apologizes to his parents for saying that OTL

Then again, the talk was recorded in 2001, so it's dated XD though I doubt he changed at all XD
